At their annual Conference, Labour revealed that it will insulate 19 million homes. Hastings and Rye has many older buildings that are not well insulated this policy would help people in Hastings & Rye to use less energy and save money on energy bills.
61% of homes within the Hastings area are not energy efficient.
Helena Dollimore said: "£1 in every £4 spent on heating is wasted because it leaks out of homes. We can help bring energy bills down, create green jobs and tackle the climate emergency by insulting more homes. The next Labour Government will insulate 19 million homes."
Helena is backing this policy as it will help ease the cost of living at a time when this is greatly needed and it will also be beneficial to the environment as less energy usage means less pollution.
Helena is supporting the Co-Op campaign to insulate more homes. You can also support this campaign through the following link: party.coop/insulate
